fox among the birches

Explore the fascinating world of our local wildlife from red foxes to raccoons, opossums to red-tailed hawks with Lynn Miller, PhD.

Dr. Miller will discuss how Eastern red foxes and others benefit our urbanized environment. Learn how to live responsibly alongside our wild neighbors and help reduce the likelihood that they will end up as patients at a wildlife rehabilitation center.

Dr. Miller has more than 30 years’ experience in wildlife rehabilitation; her expertise ranges from hand raising orphaned red foxes, to caring for injured snowy owls, to customizing rehabilitation programs for wildlife of all types including dragons. As the current Director of Wildlife Rehabilitation at Cape Wildlife Center in Barnstable, Dr. Miller oversees the rehabilitation of nearly 2,000 animals annually representing more than 185 species.

Cape Wildlife Center is one of the largest wildlife rehabilitation centers in New England. Come meet Lynn and hear more about our intriguing wild neighbors on Cape Cod.
