Parking in Provincetown: What You Need to Know
Traveling to Provincetown is part of the adventure, and whether you’re coming from New York City or Boston, the journey offers scenic views and coastal charm. From Boston, it’s a straight shot down Route 6, with the drive taking about 2.5 to 3 hours depending on traffic.
From New York City, plan for a 5.5- to 6.5-hour drive. The hotel is centrally located just steps from Commercial Street and across from Town Hall. Look for our garden courtyard and a warm welcome waiting for you.

From New York
- Interstate 95 North to Providence.
- Take 195 East to 25 South (Cape Cod and the Islands).
- Follow signs for Rt. 6 East.
- From Rt. 6 take second Provincetown exit.
- Turn Right onto Bradford Street.
- Gabriel’s is diagonally across the street from Town Hall in the center of town.
From Boston
- Take Southeast Expressway 93 to Rt. 3 to Rt. 6.
- From Rt. 6 take second Provincetown exit.
- Turn Right onto Bradford Street.

Parking in Provincetown, MA
Parking in Provincetown can be a challenge, especially in the summer months when there are hundreds of visitors to Cape Cod. Our bed and breakfast is located right on the street and has just one space for guests to unload luggage. After unloading, you can park in a secure lot approx. 2 blocks behind the inn, with easy walking access.
There is a parking fee from May 1st through October 31st. Parking during the winter months is free. If you paid for parking at the time of booking, you will be issued a parking pass upon check-in. If you did not pay for parking, we can add it by calling the office. Please be aware that our parking lot can only accommodate cars and small trucks. We cannot offer parking for campers, camper vans, RVs, or other large vehicles.
All parking during the summer months is not on-site but located in a secured lot approx. 2 blocks away and must be prepaid with the hotel at the time of booking. Parking fees apply from May 1st thru October 31st.
November through April, all guests will park in free public parking.
Our private lot is only open in the summer months.
We are not responsible for items lost or stolen from your vehicle while parked in the parking lot or for any damage to your vehicle while in the lot.
