Single Women’s Weekend (May 19-21, 2023)
After the quieter months of winter, this annual Provincetown event happens on the weekend. It ushers in warmer days and welcomes single lesbians looking to mingle with other single lesbians, all in a casual setting focused on mixers, cocktail hours, dance parties, and meals around town. Participants speak of how refreshing it is not to wonder who’s single and who isn’t (everyone is here to meet new partners) and to meet in person rather than online. You may find love, you may spark a new flame, and you’re sure to make connections that last.

Provincetown Film Festival (June 14-18, 2023)
Celebrating its 25th anniversary in 2023, this film festival has developed a stellar reputation for its offerings and programming quality. Rated as one of the “25 coolest film festivals in the world” by MovieMaker Magazine, over 100 films play around town over the four days, with narrative features and documentaries (both of which qualify for Academy Award voting) alongside more unique categories like queer films and New England short films. Every year they invite a special honoree, which in past years has included Ang Lee, Sofia Coppola, Quentin Tarantino, and John Waters. In addition to paying respect to the luminaries of the past, the fest shines a spotlight on up-and-coming filmmakers pushing boundaries, right in line with the rebellious and artistic bent of P-Town.
Portuguese Festival (June 22-25, 2023)
Portuguese culture is interwoven into the fabric of Provincetown, MA, dating back hundreds of years. Portuguese sailors and fishermen set down roots in town during the early chapters of Provincetown’s past, working the seas while their families formed the bedrock of the local community. During the four days of this annual event in Provincetown, MA, you’ll find dancing, parades through town, outdoor food areas, and music (make sure to check out the Fado performances, a Portuguese musical style tracing back two centuries). And don’t miss the Blessing of the Fleet, which closes out the weekend – boats are decorated and blessed for the upcoming year, paying homage to our Portuguese heritage.
Family Week (July 22-29, 2023)
Celebrating its 28th year, this week of fun-filled and family-focused activities is the world’s largest LGBTQ+ family gathering. Events vary from outdoor arts and crafts to film nights and all-ages dance parties, drawing families from over 30 other states and countries. However you identify, and whatever your family makeup, you won’t find a more welcoming environment to meet other families, celebrate, and come together.
Carnival (August 12-19, 2023)
Dating back to the late ‘70s and known as P-Town’s “original summer celebration,” Carnival is wild, glamorous, and over the top (in the best way). Each year brings a unique theme – 2023’s theme will be Land of Toys – so start getting your theme costumes ready for the non-stop parties and events held all week. It all culminates with the Carnival parade when people in costume pack the sidewalks of Commercial St (one street over from our location), and stunningly creative floats make their way from one end of town to the other.
