At over 27,000 acres in size, the national park encompasses much of the outer Cape, formed in 1961 to protect the area’s pristine natural landscape. Visit Nauset Light, one of several iconic lighthouses along the outer Cape, where you’ll learn about the history of the 100-plus-year-old structure while being treated to majestic views of the Atlantic coastline.

Route 6A reaches its end in Provincetown, where the walkable downtown district surrounds the marina. Tour the Provincetown Monument, and grab some fresh and tasty seafood at the local favorite, Mac’s Fish House. Bookend your Cape Cod adventure where you began, at the beach, and watch a spectacular sunset at nearby Herring Cove.
